May Memories

It's been 5 months since an update.... Couldn't even keep up with 1 time per month like Sarah's 1st year! Well here's what our Shaw family has been up to.... there's a new little sister in the making and we have a video for you... No, this isn't that kind of video... :)

I think Sarah wants to name her little sister, "Elmo." We'll see, we still need a middle name, so Lillian Elmo Shaw it could be!

Also we tried to sell our house to move into a bigger house, but it's probably not in the cards for this summer. Maybe next summer...

 We bought a water table to enjoy over Memorial Day Weekend. It was a big success! And a great weekend to use it since it was so hot!

Sarah - 11 Months

Events:

Christmas: Sarah got a ton of toys for Christmas! We had both sets of our parents over on Christmas morning and attempted to get her to open them, but mostly we opened them for her.

First Words: Sarah said "Da Da" and "Ut-oh" early this month, knowing what they mean!

Steps: Sarah took her first steps this month! She isn't walking for the majority of the time, but it's a start.

Teeth: Both of Sarah's front 2 teeth started coming in this month.

Day to Day:

Eating: We started sippy cups this month and Sarah is doing ok with the cups, I think she just doesn't like juice. A couple days ago she reached for a glass of ginger ale I was drinking and I let her drink some (out of a cup!)  -- she made the best face.

Playing: Among her favorite gifts from Christmas is a baby doll from Mommy. She actually feeds her a bottle, which is really cute!

Sleeping: Sarah sleeps through the night! She goes from 8pm-7am and it's wonderful...

Favorite thing about this age: When she sleeps she tucks her hands under her and puts her butt up in the air like when she was really little.
 
Least Favorite thing: She's so squirmy on the changing table.
